Terms of Service

Last updated · 10 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Rouz — the hosted alerting and on-call platform at rouz.dev and its applications and APIs ("the service"), operated from Australia by Rouz ("we", "us"). By creating an account or accepting an invitation, you agree to them on your own behalf and, if you set up an organization, on its behalf too.

Rouz is not an emergency service. It must not be relied on as the sole means of summoning help in situations involving risk to life, health or property. Never use Rouz in place of calling emergency services (000, 911, 112).

The service

Rouz routes messages your organization publishes to the people you configure, over channels such as push notifications, SMS/RCS and voice calls, and escalates unacknowledged incidents according to your policies. The service is currently invite-only and evolving; features may change, be added or be withdrawn. We may introduce or change paid plans, with reasonable notice for changes that affect you.

Your account and organization

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend accounts or organizations that breach these rules, and we may remove content that exposes us or others to harm or legal liability.

Your content

Your organization keeps ownership of what it publishes into Rouz — alerts, incident data, recordings and transcripts. You grant us the rights needed to store, process and transmit that content to operate the service. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and support

We build for reliability — redundant delivery, retries and escalation — but the service is provided "as is", without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Delivery of SMS, voice and push messages ultimately depends on third-party networks (carriers, Apple, Google, Twilio) outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including loss arising from a page that wasn't delivered, seen or acknowledged.

Termination

You can stop using Rouz and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, or wind down the service with reasonable notice, in which case you'll have an opportunity to export your data.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted here with a new date, and continued use after a change is acceptance of it. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Questions: hello@rouz.dev.
